How to Stop USB Drivers From Running When You Are Not logged on

Windows based USB devices require a driver in order to function correctly, and one of the best drivers available is the Windows USB Manager. This software tool makes it easy to connect and enable USB devices such as printers, scanners, disk drives, etc. to be connected to the computer without having to configure a new driver on the fly during usage. If you need to use a specific driver on a regular basis, this software is a good solution because it can update all drivers automatically when they are needed. The only downside to using Windows USB Manager, is that it doesn't always detect all required drivers and prompts you to insert a new device.

A. The Windows USB Manager comes with a neat feature called System Tray. With the System Tray, you can activate or deactivate your USB storage device through a simple single-click on the tray icon that is placed on the system tray area of the desktop. It also has several other useful features including auto backup, auto disconnection, password protection, secure data removal, and auto installation of new devices.

B. To use the Windows USB Manager, you will need to go to the Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs. Once you have selected a program to remove, double click on it to open the properties and then click on the "Remove" button. You may need to add some more devices to the list in order to get rid of the repeating error, but after doing that, you should be able to enable USB ports on your system. However, if you are getting error messages while trying to use your usb manager, then it is recommended that you perform a system scan with an updated anti-virus program like McAfee to ensure that your system is not infected with any malicious programs or files that could prevent you from using this neat utility.
