To start designing your circuit, PCB Artist includes an integrated Schematics Capture tool that is easy to use. The program also provides a useful tutorial to guide you through the process. Once the circuit is designed, you can define the PCB by creating the schematics. A wizard helps you define parameters such as layers, track sizes, and quantities. After that, you can define the layout of the PCB, which includes Autoplacement and AutoRouting features to ensure optimal performance. PCB Artist can even generate a parts list based on your design.
To ensure your PCB works properly, the program automatically checks your final design for spacing rules, incomplete nets, and connection issues. Although the developers encourage you to submit your design for manufacturing, this is optional.
