Starlight Mayhem VS CJ is a free Friday Night Funkin' mod for Windows from the team at Gamebanana. It’s based on the incredibly popular game Friday Night Funkin'. This mod gives you a new challenge not found in the original game that takes place over the course of an entire week.

The plot
You've arrived at your local festival to check out some funky tunes when suddenly you're plucked from the crowd. The lead singer of the band, Starlight Mayhem, spots you, and because of your reputation, he challenges you to a rhythm battle that lasts a whole week.
Modes and levels
There are easy, normal and hard difficulty levels so you can start easy and work yourself up to the most challenging level. There are five different play modes to keep the game interesting, including Marathon, Freeplay and Endless.
The combination of gameplay options and difficulty levels helps Starlight Mayhem VS CJ stay interesting despite the game's concept being similar to the original game.

Our take
Gamebanana has created a satisfying music rhythm game based on Friday Night Funkin'. As is usually the case with expansions, the fundamental gameplay hasn't changed. However, the devs have used the Mic'd Up engine to improve keypress accuracy, resulting in fewer, unintentionally missed beats.
The cutscenes in the game are beautifully drawn, so if you're one of the millions of fans of the original game of Friday Night Funkin', Starlight Mayhem VS CJ is definitely worth your time.
