What is AMD Driver Autodetect?
Use the AMD Driver Autodetect Utility for automatic detection of your AMD graphic card, and most importantly, your Windows operating system. If your graphic card manufacturer has not supplied the drivers, then download the latest official version of the drivers from the website. If your graphics card does not work with the Windows Operating System that you have, then you should go for another graphics card manufacturer. If the AMD Driver Autodetect Utility does not work for you, then you may have to replace your graphics card with another one.
If your Windows Operating System does not recognize your AMD card, then use the following command to run Windows Update Graphics Drivers: Windows XP Driver Updates
To update graphics drivers, run Windows Update, under the section "Updates and Installations". In the "Updates and Installations" section, click on the link for the Windows XP driver autodetector, and click on "Let Windows Install", which is the blue link in the above step. After Windows Update has finished updating the drivers, reboot your computer to ensure that the new drivers are properly installed. The graphics driver autodetection utility should also be able to fix any other issues with your graphics card; if not, it may be necessary to contact a graphics adapter repair company.
