ZenVPN is one of the few successful products that offer true privacy and anonymity online. It was created by two self-confessed computer hackers who were dissatisfied with the poor level of security and encryption provided by common commercial VPN service providers. They felt that their technology was capable of offering exactly this. They named their product after a type of butterfly.

ZenVPN will work with any internet connection speed and can be used both while on the web and offline. You can even hide your real IP address by connecting through a proxy server instead. ZenVPN also allows you to securely connect to an overseas website and still access the rest of the web in private, allowing you to surf anonymously as you are enjoying your overseas trip.

Unfortunately ZenVPN is facing some serious issues as of late. They have temporarily disabled the "chat" function on their homepage, citing "bugs". This has resulted in many users calling in their refunds as they cannot access the site while their support request is being processed. Users have also complained about the slow speed of the service while at peak times. However the company has promised that these issues will be resolved in future updates.
