Vs. Minus HUGGY WUGGY is a free mod for Friday Night Funkin’, similar to other modified titles like Full-Ass Tricky mod, VS Nonsense - Friday Night Funkin' Mod, and FNF Minus Mod. It features the boss monster from Poppy Playtime, but all the colours are reversed. You’ll also play in first-person view instead of the 2D side view from the other mods.
The game has new songs you can play, while the freeplay mode returns. Much like Poppy Playtime, you’ll have a limited time to survive Huggy Wuggy’s attack, which you’ll have to stave off with your finger-tapping singing skills.
Survive the attack
In Poppy Playtime, you find yourself in an abandoned toy factory where a toy named Huggy Wuggy comes to life. Your goal is to escape using 2 Grabpack hands. Vs. Minus HUGGY WUGGY takes inspiration from the game, where you’ll face the same monster while holding the mic with the red and blue hands.
You’ll goal is to sing for your life as the arrows appear at the top of the screen. As you tap correctly, the bar at the bottom moves in your favour. Should Huggy Wuggy defeat you before the time is up, you’ll lose. The time factor represents the same intensity as when the monster chases you in Poppy Playtime.
New tracks and view
As is the case with most FNF mods, Vs. Minus HUGGY WUGGY has a new track for you to challenge the toy boss. Instead of the side-view you’ve become used to in other Friday Night Funkin’ games, you’ll face him head-on in first-person view. It’s another feature that’s taken from Poppy Playtime.
There are three difficulty levels. On Easy mode, you won’t have much trouble keeping up with the arrows, and it’s good practice for when you attempt Normal and Hard modes. As you move up the scale, the keys move quicker and you’ll need to focus to ensure you hit the right notes. Huggy Wuggy also changes his appearance at each level.
Can you escape Huggy Wuggy?
Vs. Minus HUGGY WUGGY is a fun game for fans of Friday Night Funkin’ and Poppy Playtime. The reverse colours make it more interesting, while it carries across the horror atmosphere in some way.
While the game is short and you’ll mostly play it for entertainment, it’s still incredibly enjoyable to complete.
