SecureCRT is a dynamic, interactive remote control (RAC) solution for UNIX-based computers. It is a free software that runs on the POSIX platform. A company may use secureCRT for managing a network of computers in real time, or to troubleshoot weakly attached computers. Vandyke Computer Systems produces secureCRT and Vandyke compatible security servers and workstations. A company can use secureCRT to help them migrate their information technology systems from Windows to UNIX or to simply free themselves from Windows licensing fees.
The Vandyke product line includes several different products. The most popular of these is the SecureCRT board, which is used to create the user interface to the computer server. Many of Vandyke's CRT servers are based on the Linux operating system. There are also many Linux-based CRT terminals available. Most of Vandyke's hardware is based on the Dell Workstation line of computers.
SecureCRT can be obtained with a free extended support version that has been approved by the US military. This support version is the most recent release of the software and provides bug fixes and security enhancements. It is also highly compatible with the latest operating systems, which makes it perfect for use with UNIX servers. If you have Vandyke on your list of suppliers of computer servers, make sure that they sell SecureCRT. You will soon reap the benefits of having an inexpensive, fast, and secure remote access application with a user-friendly interface.
