Free Friday Night Funkin' Soft Mod for Windows is a new story with reinvented characters based on the much-loved original game. The basic premise is the same - match the symbols that appear on the screen in sync with the rhythm of the music.
Created by developer Tamacoochi, there are new characters and playable songs available. As this is a mod of the original open-source game, the graphic style is identical, as you’d expect. You play as Soft BF, chasing your dreams of becoming a famous painter along with your partner Soft Pico. Of course, some things are just not that simple. You'll have to emerge victorious from each stage where you’ll battle via symbol and rhythm matching to achieve your goal.

Soft BF is clearly based on ‘The Boyfriend’ from the original Friday Night Funkin’. New opponents are waiting for you. They’re based on or are reimaginings of, characters from the original game.
The developer has clearly put a great deal of thought into this mod to ensure that it maintains your interest despite the gameplay being almost identical to the original game.
New visuals
It's obvious that the developer has treated this as a labour of love. They've created all new backgrounds in the game and inserted more than 130 dialogue portraits.
Our take
Friday Night Funkin' Soft Mod it's an excellent piece of work by Tamacoochi. Without reinventing the gameplay, they've given us an original story and lovingly crafted graphics with a new flare.
Amongst the ever-increasing number of variants of the original game, this one genuinely feels like a natural evolution of the beloved rhythm game.
