How to Create Genie Timeline Backups
Genie Timeline is a free, easy-to-use software, which automatically backs up your system and maintains copies of all of the important files you require. This fantastic free utility also has some limitations, however, which means that only certain users will be able to fully utilize it. Nonetheless, the neat thing about Genie Timeline is how straightforward it makes the backing up process - it just has two steps!
You can back up all of your files in windows by going to the control panel on your PC, then click on the section that says 'Network settings' and then click on the button that says'scan'. Once you have done this, you will see a list of all of your computers connected to your network. Right click on each one of them, then click on 'Properties', and you will be shown the properties for that particular computer. Here, you should click on the option which says 'icon' and find the little box that says'Genie Timeline', which is located next to your hard drive.
When you click this, you will see two tabs - one for your main Genie Timeline folder and one for the other things that you might need to back up. Now, under the column on the far right of the window that says 'backed up', click on the link that says 'icon'. On the left side, click on the folder icon, then on the small arrow that is close to the word 'icon'. Now, you are set to make any number of Genie timelines as needed. It is recommended that you use the same name for all of your back ups, however - you do not want to mistakenly delete something important.
