Snow all over your desktop
DesktopSnowOK is a free program that will let you have snow falling on your desktop, no matter what time of the year! This is a sweet, if not very advanced app. It's free, light on resources and does exactly what it says it will, but ultimately DesktopSnowOK lacks polish and options. For a quick holiday fix, however, it's a great choice!
The DesktopSnowOK options are very easy to access. The main interface lets you choose what falls, how fast, how transparent, and how many flakes. You can also set a quick deactivation key, which is a handy touch, and decide if you want the app to run automatically with Windows.
DesktopSnowOK also lets you choose colored balls to fall - you can have tennis, soccer, and baseballs, or red, blue, and glass-colored balls instead of snow. That said, it would be really nice to see some seasonal alternatives to snow - how about falling turkeys or Christmas trees instead?!
