DeskLock - How To Quickly activate & disable your Computer's icons
DeskLock is an excellent registry cleaner which enables you to clean out all the unwanted files from your Windows desktop. Have you ever had that frustrating situation of your desktop icon going out of sight for no obvious reason and not being able to locate them again? Desklock solves this problem by locking your desktop icons permanently so that you can't move, delete or edit them any more. DeskLock comes with an easy to use interface making it easy to use.
This program enables you to quickly disable/enable all the unnecessary icons on your desktop. It takes a few seconds to run a scan and locate all the icon shortcuts, then allows you to individually disable/enable them. The feature can be disabled by clicking on the "Settings" icon in the Control Panel; from there you can change the hotkey you use for the deadlock hotkey or hide/enable all the icons in the menu. If you're changing your settings via the Control Panel, ensure that you click on the "Change" button and not the "Hotkey" key, otherwise the change will not take effect. Disabling the icons should take effect immediately.
If you wish to activate DeskLock, simply go into the Control Panel and click on the "oggle" tab. From there you can select "use icon settings" and enable the DeskLock icon on your Start Menu, Taskbar or Action Center. This will activate DeskLock on your computer automatically whenever you start or switch out of Windows. I would personally recommend using DeskLock v2 because the new version has an advanced hotkey that not only enables / disables the desklock icon but also allows you to easily change the display to full screen mode so that you don't get stuck in one position for long periods of time.
