If you're looking for a new way to organize your life or want a fun, quirky way to remember what appointments and tasks you have to accomplish, then Klok could be just what you're looking for. Klok is a visually based, to-do-ahead program with a calendar-like interface much like the ones you use on your phone. Inspired by the way you fill your daily schedule with tasks, Klok presents your daily time entries in blocks so that you fill them up like you do your calendar application. This makes it easy to glance at your schedule and know exactly what you need to accomplish for that day.
If you've ever tried to keep track of your time on a piece of paper or in a spreadsheet, then you know how difficult it can be to remember what you did and when. You have to write down everything, even if you think that you're doing, only to forget about it later. With Klok, though, you can have a visual reminder of everything you need to do so that you don't forget anything important. For example, all of your upcoming appointments, meetings, tasks, notes, contacts, etc. are all available in one place, so whenever you open up the program, it will show you which items you need to do and when.
The best thing about this particular app is that it's entirely customizable. If you want to use it for a specific purpose, then that's completely fine. I use blog to remind me to do things each day (like my morning routine), so I can have a visual reminder that I need to make it to work, and it's all set to my liking in the morning. The best thing about it is that it's very easy to learn. It takes a little bit of practice, but after a few days of using it, you'll find that you can create your own personalized time tracking system using the klok interface.
