A free and open-source Video editing software, DirectVobSub consists of two modules which allow conversion of video files into Meta-tags and other information needed by Windows movie editing software. DirectVobSub consists of a Vobriber Interface and a Portable Document Format (PDF) document. The interface is designed with a simple, user-friendly interface and can be used by novice and expert computer users alike. With this software you can add, remove and edit subtitles in your films. It is an easy-to-use Windows port that can be used along with other video editing software available in the market.

DirectVobSub comes with two software modules which enable the user to convert vobsub and avi files into text files, as well as to insert any other type of data between the two. DirectVobSub can read both progressive and mono audio and video streams. You can import both text and audio from the DVD to your computer, and also you can convert vobsub and avi files to text file and use it as a text track in your movie. DirectVobSub can be used on Windows platforms only.

Another great feature of DirectVobSub is its ability to convert multiple languages into subtitles. It can import audio and video from multiple languages such as Chinese, German, French, Russian, Japanese, and many more. This makes it possible to create subtitles in any language and dialect and watch it using the appropriate window. DirectVobSub comes with various settings which allow the user to adjust quality, frame rate, skip ahead/behind, copy/paste, and much more. Its unique multilingual interface allows the user to perform tasks in multiple languages simultaneously.
