Survival-based game

The only goal of Rust is to survive, overcoming your struggles of hunger, thirst, and cold. Build a shelter, light a fire, kill animals, and defend yourself from other players.

Exciting gameplay

The point of Rust is to survive, and there are many ways to do this while you’re playing. For most players, it will take 2-5 in-game days to fully establish themselves with a base and equipment on a server. However, should you manage to kill a player wearing high tier gear, such as the recently added night vision goggles, you’ll have a far faster start.

You’ll be able to build your base in almost any location of the world, craft gear and weapons, and hunt or defend yourself from other players. However, the player base is dropping except for during the holiday season.

Purposeful crafting

Crafting in Rust is a must, especially if you want to survive. The core use of crafting will be to create your base, a location used for storing equipment and vehicles. However, before you can craft anything, you’ll need to go out among other players and harvest resources from the land or your enemies.

Excellent visuals

Rust has excellent graphics, requiring at least a GTX 670 2GB or better graphics card. The fast-paced visuals will run smoothly, and the environments in the game will stand out as you run through them.

Huge world

The map of Rust is large, with many areas for you to discover. There are four types of maps that servers can use, namely Procedural, Barren, custom, and premade. Procedurally generated maps are random and ensure that the community can always experience a game unlike the last.

Limited construction

While the developers are still adding new mechanics and crafting recipes, there is no way to make a truly unique base. However, you can now build in a freezing environment due to the newly added electric heater. The crafting system is a must if you want to survive, regardless of your play style.
