Besides TV and film, there are also a variety of live sports broadcast on this app, including Football, Basketball, Hockey, and WWE.

JioTV comes with great features such as Pause & Play and featured content. Content is organized into general categories such as sports and news. You can easily mark your favourite genres and titles, and set reminders so that you never miss out on your preferred LiveTV

The app also allows you to stream movies for free. This content can be streamed on mobile devices, but JioTV is limited to people who live in India and who have a JIO SIM as their data plan.

Like many streaming services, you may encounter buffering, which is problematic for sports fans who do not want to miss a second of the game. There are many live sports to choose from such as; cricket, football, WWE, tennis, and Basketball. You can also find worldwide events like the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games on JioTV.

There are a couple of issues with this version, and the interface is a banner format with limited options. It should be more simple and not overwhelm users with so many options.

Sometimes the shows load from the middle, and you miss the very start of an episode. This problem occurs even if it is not a live show. Another annoyance is when you open a channel, it frequently will cause the app to shut down. Alternatively, the channel doesn’t load forcing you to refresh the app.

The app also requests permission to access contacts, location, and phone storage. The application is free, but it also forces advertisements on viewers which is something many people do not like from a streaming service.

Needs more work

In terms of the diversity of content available on this multimedia streaming application, Jio TV is good, but the functionality should be improved. There are many bugs to be fixed, and the developers should consider a more minimalistic interface so that it is easier to use. JioTV is an alternative to paid streaming services, but it’s frustrating for people to use at times.
