Why Use Benchmarking Software When You Can Do it Yourself?

Overall, for an unfinished piece of software, Everest Portable performs okay. It does work as advertised, but it's not like it's the greatest invention since sliced bread... it has it's flaws. The biggest issues I had with Everest were its lack of any registry cleaner, and it's tendency to boot up and freeze for random reasons. Overall, for someone looking to fix a problem with their computer, or for someone who has a machine that dates way back, Everest Portable is great for diagnosing basic problems or just learning more about the computer's inner workings.
So if you're looking to use Everest Portable for diagnostic purposes, first, you need to load it onto your PC first, then run a full system scan to make sure all hardware components are functioning normally. After that, load your registry up with the benchmarking software of your choice, and start the process of fixing your PC. The main menu of Everest Portable has all the options you'll need to choose from: memory benchmarks, power benchmarks, processor benchmarks and so on. Memory benchmarks let you see how much memory your computer has; the lower the number, the better the performance. Power benchmarks measure the performance of your CPU against different tasks Photoshop, compiling HTML files, and so on.
Once you've got all your memory benchmarks and CPU benchmarks, you can just select the ones you want to use from the list in the menu and start fixing your PC. Everest Portable has a simple, streamlined user interface, and all you really need to do is click your mouse button and follow the onscreen instructions. You should always use high quality benchmarking software for Windows Vista and above, since the hardware components inside your PC aren't all that reliable. If they're not working properly, it's very easy for your desktop to crash or have other major problems.
