Windows Phone application for the desktop enables you to sync your favorite media files from your Windows Phone to your computer. If you've added your media files to your Windows library, it'll appear in this application under the "PC" folder. When you use Windows Live tile, you can also access your Windows Phone home screen and this is where you can access your Windows Phone desktop application through the same tile.
You can also sync your Windows Media Player files to your Windows Phone for a quick and easy way of enjoying music and videos on your Windows Phone device. To do so, first set up your Windows Live tile in your Windows Phone device, then tap "select other devices". Then, go to your Windows Phone home screen and tap "media files" and choose the folder where you saved your files. You can also select the folders of your music and video folders in your Windows Live tile. Now, you can enjoy your music and videos on your Windows Phone using these same media files that you have on your Windows Phone device.
The Windows Phone app for desktop enables you to access your Windows Live tile, and your Windows Live folder from your computer and vice versa.
