After downloading Wax, open a new project in Adobe After Effects CS5. Go to 'View' tab and then click on the tab called 'eworks' which contains tabulations for the various compositing tools available. Select 'Wax.' On the right side, click on the drop down menu for the type of wax you want to use. For example, if you want to download Wax to produce special effects like smoke and mirror images, select 'zzle'. Finally, save your file and open it in Adobe After Effects.
