A New Name in the Franchise
Pro Evolution Soccer is a series of international association soccer simulation games originally released and developed by Konami in 1995. It consists of eighteen different instalments and a number of spin-off series which have subsequently been released on several different consoles. The series has consistently earned critical and commercial success worldwide. Some of the well known instalments include Pro Evolution Soccer 2021, Super SoccerODF, Pro Evolution Soccer HD, and Pro Evolution Soccer 3000.
The game has a fairly simple but addictive gameplay, where players take control of a football team by choosing the most suitable player to fill every position on the pitch. This is done by picking out a club from a roster of players, which are then formed by assigning them specific traits, skills and attributes which determine their position on the pitch and whether or not they score or not. The game mode itself consists of two different play styles, versus and survival. In versus mode, a player will need to earn assists by scoring goals against their opposition, whilst also trying to prevent the same from happening to their team. If a team scores a winning goal, then they will be rewarded with a trophy, while failing to do so will result in them being eliminated from the competition.
Pro Evolution Soccer features a rather simple but addictive game play, where a player must use all of the skills and tactics that they learned from previous matches to overcome their opponents. The overall goal is to be the first team to earn twenty goals throughout a sixteen game season. Each instalment in the series is split into separate seasons, with the standard campaign lasting for three months and the all-out war campaign spanning for twelve months. Each season offers a new set of challenges, as well as new content for players to try and enjoy.
