NetSpeed Monitor by Floriangilles is an application that monitors the bandwidth usage by your PC. It displays the number of megabytes used by your system every second and can help you find out how many kilobytes are being used. The software comes with a very attractive user interface which lets you know instantly if there is any traffic on the network. It also has a tool for monitoring the speed of your internet connection and a free spyware detector and firewall. The main interface of NetSpeedWire is divided into three panels namely Tools, Network Interface and Rules.
You can start by clicking on the Start button which takes you to the Windows Start Menu. From here, you can click on "Net Speed Monitor" and this will take you to the NetSpeedWire manager window. Here, click on the button "install" and you will be given a choice of either downloading or installing the software. If you are installing the application, it will start working immediately after installation. On the other hand, if you are downloading the software, a configuration window will appear, choose the optional download and follow through.
Once you have completed the installation of the software, you can activate the service by clicking on the start icon. This will start the netspeedmonitor service and after a while, it will begin to monitor your computer's bandwidth usage and display the results on the screens. If you want to change any setting, the simplest way is to go to the "NetSpeedWire" settings utility, click on the "network speed" tab and change the settings for the desired usage. There are a number of people who have commented that they were very impressed with the functionality of this application and the ease at which it installed and configured itself on their windows server 2003 platform.
