How to use Advanced IP Scanner

Network Scanning
- Set IP Range: Start by entering the range of IP addresses for your network using the "IP" button on the toolbar.
- Start Scan: Click "Scan" to begin the scanning process. When it's done, you'll see a list of all devices on the network.
Creating a Favorites List of Computers for Regular Use
- Scan Your Network: First, run a scan to detect all devices connected to your network.
- Add Computers to Favorites: Choose the computers you want, right-click, and select "Add to 'Favorites'" to create a list for quick access.
- Use Favorites: You can access and manage these favorites anytime from the "Favorites" tab.
- Manually Add New Computers: To add more computers, go to "Actions → Add computer…" and fill in the needed information.
Saving and Loading Favorite Lists
- Save: To save your current list of favorites, either use the "Save selected" option in the shortcut menu or go to "File → Save as…" in the main menu.
- Load: To bring up a previously saved list, choose "File → Load Favorites".
Using Radmin for Better Remote Control
Radmin is a well-regarded remote control software that works well with IP Scanner Advanced. To connect to a computer with Radmin Server installed:
- Choose a Computer: Select it from the scan results or your favorites.
- Connect with Radmin: If Radmin Server is there, right-click and pick the right Radmin connection type.
For those who like to stay mobile, there’s a portable version of Radmin Viewer available. Activate it under "Settings → Options… → Misc" and specify where you've stored the portable viewer.
