Hello Neighbor is an independent horror game where you investigate your neighbor who keeps to himself and prohibits you from going near his basement. Your job is to break into his home and find out what he is hiding. Hello Neighbor’s developer, Dynamic Pixels, has fitted this game with advanced artificial intelligence technology. The AI will learn your strategy and counter your every move. This makes for a dynamic and suspenseful gameplay in a sandbox environment.
Gameplay
Hello Neighbor is played in three acts. The first act opens with you hearing a scream. You detect the noise is coming from across the street so you go ahead and investigate. The screaming continues to come from your neighbor’s house. Unfortunately, he sees you while he’s in a compromising position and chases you back into your home. You will need to solve a series of puzzles to find rooms you can hide in.
Act two begins when you find yourself locked in a room until a shadowy figure unlocks the door. At this point, you can look through the keyhole to see who it is or go ahead and escape. The exit will lead to the outside of your neighbor’s house. To your surprise, you will see that it has grown including a large fence you will need to climb over. While it is important that you escape, you will learn more about your neighbor’s past whenever he catches you escaping.
The game’s final act takes place in the future where your character is an adult moving back into his old home. Similar to the first act, he wakes up to hear a child’s scream coming from his neighbor’s house. The difference is that the house is now larger and appears more complex. You must return to his house and investigate only to be greeted by a younger version of yourself. You must protect yourself and the boy from the neighbor and a large and terrifying shadow man.

It requires a large amount of RAM to process but it does not take up your hard disk space. As for the gameplay, the first two acts focus on your ability to remain stealthy, act 3 focuses on your problem-solving skills. This can be difficult for players of all user levels to solve, but it is easy to navigate around. In the end, your reward will be the conclusion to your neighbor’s mysterious behavior.
