Free video generator for Android

Filmize is a free video generator for Android by the developer Filmize 3D Studio. This app allows you to create 3D videos from your pictures. It doesn’t share the same features as other, more robust video editors like XX Video Maker or FYT - Photo and Video Editor. However, it’s an interesting alternative to Video Maker of Photos with Music Video Editor.
This app is aptly named, since it lets you “filmise” your images and create videos from your pictures. They’re great for situations such as special occasions like birthdays, or to surprise your loved ones.
Reels on the go
Filmize simplifies the creation of a video by offering various templates. This is an exciting way to bring life into your images without needing to learn about filmmaking or video editing because the app does the heavy lifting for you.
You only need to choose your pictures, a couple of settings and templates, and the app will take care of the rest, delivering ready-to-share videos. You can also upload your music to create music videos, or use songs that come with the app.
Somewhat generic
Even though the results are good, there isn’t much room for customisation. Aside from the pictures and sound you use, this makes all videos from a certain template a bit too similar. While this may not be an issue for many people, it'll get repetitive if you’re an avid user.
One of the core selling points is, for example, creating a virtual wedding invitation card. Would you want to send the same card design to all of your friends when they get married? That’s the issue that rears its head with Filmize.
An interesting concept that needs polishing
Filmize is a great tool when it comes to surprising someone with a nice-looking video. It brings the power of video creation to anyone, which is great for people that don’t have the time or patience to learn how to edit video. It also gives you a plethora of assets to use.
However, it could use more customisation choices, and ads are a big issue for many users, since these pop up constantly, disrupting the flow of the app. Another critical issue is the inability to add text to your videos. Nevertheless, even with some rough edges, it’s a recommendable app for anyone in need of a quick, good-looking video.
