Free travel app

VeriFLY is an Android app designed to make air travel, including international air travel, easier. This app makes travelling less of a hassle by providing credentialing on your phone in a contactless way. It has similar features to Fly Delta, MyTSA, SunPass and many more.
Given the problems created by COVID-19, airlines began looking for a way to identify passengers and assess their proof of test or vaccine. Paper documents are obviously useful but can slow down security lines and create multiple contact points between individuals. This creates a secondary health hazard. At less than 62MB, VeriFLY will not take up an excessive amount of data storage on your phone. More importantly, it is a free app. If you’d like to experience flying in a game, you can try Flight Simulator 3D Airplane Pilot.
Not very good?
VeriFLY has a really poor reputation, with a 1.5/5 rating on the Google Play store. To start, the idea that VeriFLY is all one needs to catch their flight is patently false. However, it is a good supplementary tool for verifying COVID test results.
This app helps you to organize your documents and ensure you collect them, but it does not do any heavy lifting in that regard. Still, it has received a great deal of criticism because the app does not work for a variety of reasons.
Not made, but borrowed
British Airways and American Airlines may encourage passengers to use this app, but they did not create it. As such, they take no responsibility for what the app does or does not do with the data you upload. Rather, Daon, the company that created the app, is the responsible organization.
As such, it’s incumbent upon you to read their policies if you have any concerns about the app with respect to your data.
Faulty design
Between bad QR codes, faulty camera access and unexplained crashes, many users are terribly unhappy with this app. There are several alternatives available, but British Airways and American Airlines recommend this specific app.
If you can get away with using a different app, do so. If not, at least VeriFLY is free to download.
