Brave Browser is an internet browser with a built-in ad blocker and privacy features. These tools stop advertisements from appearing on your screen, which allows some web pages to load faster than they usually would. The Chromium-based browser is also capable of blocking cross-site trackers, scripts, and cross-sites cookies, making your web activity untraceable.
Functions
Brave browser runs ad-blocking by default, so websites with flashing banners, pop-ups, and advertising will never get in your way. But more than forgoing ads, you can use Brave as a firewall. It can protect your device from online threats, such as malware and tracking algorithms. Another distinct feature of Brave is the Shield metric. It is a series of statistics that display the number of advertisements and scripts that the app blocked. These statistics also show the websites that have been blocked the most.
This browser can also be easily modified by all user-levels. For example, the built-in ad blocker can be toggled on and off by simply clicking the lion’s head on the right-hand side of the browser. You can choose to block all online advertisements, or you can block ads from select websites. Other modification options include private tabs, select a default search engine and automatic cookie controls.
Brave Software Inc. makes it clear that user-based information is not allowed to be stored on their servers, nor will third party applications gain access to your data. To do this, Brave uses Hypertext transfer protocol secure or HTTPS to prevent your information from being seen or broadcasted on the internet. With HTTPS, web plug-ins like Bitwarden, WebTorrent, and PDF JS will not be able to access your data without your permission.
Superb web application
Google Chrome or Safari users can transition to Brave Browser easily as all three browsers have similar layouts. Their comparable user interface is due to Brave’s collaboration and Muon, a Chromium-based network. Brave Browser for Android can be used on devices running on Android 9.0 or higher.
