Creating ISODisk Partitions Using Windows ISODisk Programs

ISODisk is a powerful new, and innovative tool for creating a virtual CD-ROM drive from Microsoft. ISODisk allows you to easily mount many up to twenty virtual CDs based on ISO images. Using ISODisk, sharing CD-ROM images between computers has never been easier. You can create CD-ROM images of your entire computer in mere minutes. ISODisk has a very simple set up process and the benefits of using this tool are endless.

If you want to create an ISODisk, first you will need to go to Start>Programs>System Tools>Disk Management (or in some cases Program Manager). Once you have done this, open the "RISODisk Setup File" dialog box. You will see a screen prompting you to enter a name for your CD-ROM drive. Enter a unique name that will be unique only to your RISODisk setup file. Enter the disk name you want to create.

Once you have completed these steps, you can click "mount" to begin mounting your CD-ROM device. Once you have selected a destination, click "OK". You will then see a message stating that you cannot mount the disk image yet. Click "Expand", and you will see the following:
