Vscode for Windows

Those who code know the importance of a robust code editor. It can make the difference between figuring out what went wrong quickly and spending all day looking for a simple typo. Furthermore, Vscode is a free, open-source code editing software available for the three major platforms: Windows, macOS, and Linux. It is an integrated development environment (IDE), that users can both test and write code simultaneously. 

Though similar to PyCharm for Python, Vscode can be used for a wide range of programming languages, including C++, Java, and Go. This program is also popular because it starts quickly, unlike PyCharm. As a result, it has ranked highly among development tools for several years.

Created by Microsoft in 2015, Microsoft designed this software with end-users in mind. It includes features for remote development, customisation, and debugging without the print statement. Users can also work with a wide range of extensions to add languages and other services without slowing down the system. 

Microsoft updates this tool regularly, on a monthly basis. And because it is open-source, users are welcome to review source code changes, provide fixes, or submit requests for features. 

The collaborative environment of the Vscode community uses the best aspects of social media. Users can upvote feature requests to push them to the top. This is one additional factor in making Vscode what users want and need it to be.
