Interrogate Suspects in a Robotic Future with Silicon Dreams
Silicon Dreams is a narrative-based role-playing game developed by Clockwork Bird. Set in a futuristic world reminiscent of Cyberpunk 2077, the game puts players in control of an android interrogator at Kronos Robotics. The objective is to pursue clues, examine suspects, and uncover the truth behind a complex science fiction story. With heavy moral decisions to make, players must pay close attention to detail in order to unravel the intrigue.
In Silicon Dreams, players find themselves in a Blade Runner-like future where androids have become commonplace. As the android interrogator, players must question fellow androids to determine if they are wrongdoers. The game is heavily narrative-driven, requiring players to research each android before interrogation and carefully choose their questions.
During interrogations, players must monitor the emotions of their subjects to determine if they are telling the truth or lying. Once a decision is made, players can either release the android or hand them over to their superiors. The twist in the story is that the player's employer, Kronos Robotics, may not always be morally right. Players have the option to undermine the company by freeing rebel androids.
Visually, Silicon Dreams has fairly basic graphics with sparse 3D surroundings. The interrogations consist mainly of on-screen text accompanied by close-ups of the subject's eye to convey emotions. The game is well-suited for those interested in science fiction sagas.
Pros: Complex storyline, well-written dialog, choice between moral paths.
Cons: Sparse graphics.
