Enjoying Onverse
Onverse is a free web based, online 3D social network, chat and game platform developed by Onverse, LLC. In late 2006, Onverse, LLC was formed by Stephen M. Reinhard. In the beginning, the Onverse service was aimed at providing an alternative to social networks like MySpace and Yahoo!
Onverse allows its users to access multiple virtual worlds, each with their own rules and features. The idea behind the Onverse service is to provide a free car service where you can customize your car before you get it, as you would with a real-life version. You can change your license plate, design your car, change the colour of your eyes or any number of other customizations that you can do to make your Onverse experience even more interesting and enjoyable.
Currently, Onverse has several exciting games including the Splatball, a team sports mode; the Odd Squeeze game and the popular icebreaker games such as the Translation Game and the Word Comparison Game. The Splatball game features an interesting statistic that shows the amount of hits taken by each team member. The icebreaker game, called the Odd Squeeze Game, provides the opportunity to translate English text into an obscure language, the Odd Squeeze is French, the translation into German and finally to English to find out if you could really translate the text into that language successfully.
