Nokia PC Suite is a free application that lets you manage your Nokia mobile phone files and content on your Microsoft Windows PC. The app allows you to transfer data between your mobile device and your computer or laptop. Additionally, you can send text messages within the platform. Your cellphone can be synced to your PC through various methods, including Bluetooth, infrared, or a USB cable connection.
You can download and install Nokia Suite on your computers that run Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, or Windows 7. The software will not take up a lot of storage space because of the lightweight installation size.
How can I download Nokia PC Suite?
Nokia PC Suite is not completely compatible with all the models of Nokia mobile phones, though. If you want to know if your device works with the Nokia software, then you will have to check the official comprehensive list of supported devices from the manufacturer's website
What is the use of Nokia PC Suite?
The Nokia PC Suite works exclusively with Microsoft PC and Nokia mobile phone devices. The program was originally released in 1997 by Nokia Corporation as the Nokia Data Suite. You can view and edit the information that is in your Nokia phone on your desktop screen. Nokia PC Suite lets you control your calendar, contacts, messages, music, pictures, etc.
Additionally, you can perform backups of your data. The utility can create an internet connection for your PC with the Nokia device. You can establish a network by using the Nokia phone as a modem between your PC and the Wi-Fi. You can manage your files with the ‘File Manager’ feature. An ‘Application Installer’ lets you conveniently install applications.
The ‘Get Connected Wizard’ gives you easy-to-follow steps to sync your cellphone to your computer or laptop. You will need to link your phone to the PC with any of the connection options mentioned earlier. Nokia PC Suite will search for linked phones to connect to.
The Wizard will appear each time you start up the application unless you mark the ‘Do not show this screen next time’ box. Alternatively, you can connect your mobile device to the app directly within the user interface by clicking on the cell phone picture in the left panel. Your most recent mobile phone notifications will appear beneath the phone image.
Tools used to synchronise
The right portion of the UI contains all of the commands. While the icons may not be directly labeled, the images represent the functions: contacts, maps, music, videos, etc. Additionally, the same action items are clearly labeled within the ‘File’ tab.
If you want to customise the user experience, then you can click on the ‘Settings’ dropdown menu to access the ‘General’, ‘Audio Conversion’, and ‘Video Conversion’ tabs. You can select and unselect the types of notifications you would like to appear on the home screen. The service lets you get announcements for incoming calls and messages. Additionally, you can get updates on the battery percentage.
Nokia PC Suite lets you choose the bit rate and format for audio content. You can determine whether you want the video format to be high, medium, or low-quality MP4 files.
Some important notes
There is one important thing to take note of while using this phone manager software for your Nokia device, and it has something to do with creating and managing backups. The backup feature in this PC Suite uses a non-documented binary file format (.nbu), which can only be used to restore to a phone through the proprietary client.
This means that you can only access your data by doing a restore to a working phone. Third-party programs (commercial or free) can be used to read the file if you want to. Just be aware that but they greatly vary in the amount of information they can access and retrieve.

Nokia PC Suite has not received updates in quite some time, though. The developers have another program that you can use to update your Nokia device that's called Nokia Care Suite. If you prefer Nokia PC Suite, then you can still perform phone software updates within the ‘File’ tab and the icon menu on the right side of the UI. However, it's advisable to switch over to the newer and more recent PC suite for better support and stability.
