How to Use a Lightscreen Alternative For Windows Vista
Screenshots
Lightscreen is software for capturing and editing images and then saving them on a Windows PC, iPod Touch, or external storage device. The software works by allowing the capture of an image as a series of pictures and then saving them onto a disk or into an SD card. The software also includes a series of tools and features that are intended to help photographers create the ultimate image collage.
There are two ways to edit a screenshot. One way is to use the "Photoshop" tool while another method is to use the dedicated Sc screenshots tool. Lightscreen uses the Windows Live Writer tool in order to save screenshots in the appropriate file format. In addition, the software also includes a Windows Live Paint Viewer which allows the user to select a picture and then have the screenshot appear on a Paint View canvas. The software also includes an application called Scratchlete which allows the user to save an image or group of images and then have the entire selection redone in the next session.
The second tool that is available with Lightscreen is the Windows Live Writer (WPW) screen capture tool. This particular screen capture tool is not actually included as part of the Lightscreen but the feature can be accessed by installing the special Lightscreen shortcut on your desktop. The WPW tool makes it possible to write directly to a Windows Live Writer document by simply highlighting the text and pressing the Print button. The screenshots captured using this method are always of high quality. If you are looking for a screen capture tool that offers better quality than the default ones included with Windows Live Writer then the WPW tool is highly recommended.
