With hotspot Wi-Fi, though, all your devices are able to see each other, even if they're on opposite corners of the house. That's because hotspots work like traditional cell phone reception areas. You get a signal from a device closest to you (your laptop, desk lamp, table, etc.) and the signal spreads out so that each device picks up your signal. When you have an app installed that uses Direct TV to stream the content, everything works like a television reception. Windows hotspoter does the same thing.

By default, hotspoters aren't set up for gaming, but Ishan Sharma has made sure that you can enable it for all your devices. Simply go to Control Panel > Network and Internet Connection and enable hotspotting for all your devices. It's a great networking solution for your home wireless hotspot.
