Good Dog is a free adventure game where you run around as a canine in a hospital trying to cheer up patients, visitors and employees. It’s a casual game in the itch.io universe, much like Dig Deep and Brave Dog's Road. You can download the game at no cost, but there’s an option to pay a donation to one of the available charities.
The game features a dog that a hospital employs to cheer up any occupants of the building. When you approach someone, you’ll have a list of interactions you can choose. Each one results in a specific mood or reaction, helping you see which one they like more.

You can run around as you please, meet new humans, and interact with them to see what they need. Most areas are accessible to you, even the toilet stalls are available while staff and visitors are occupying them.

The main gameplay mechanic includes engaging with non-playable characters (NPCs) and seeing what they would like from you. When you click on someone, a few interactive buttons appear that is different for everyone. You can lick, cuddle, or wag your tail to see which emotion appears as a reaction. Not all occupants enjoy the same treatment.
Graphics and sound
The visuals in Good Dog are presented in 3D, while you’ll see the snout of your canine in first-person. There are some blocky objects, and not everything has well-rounded corners or appearances. Some people speak to you when you interact with them, with moaning or grunting sounds to accompany the dialogue.
