TruckersMP is a free multiplayer modification for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, developed and published by Smoky, Shawnczek, and Mwl4. It also provides users with multiplayer capabilities through the ProMods map pack for both games.

TruckersMP is not affiliated with or endorsed by SCS Software, the developers of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, although they are aware of its existence. However, to use TruckersMP, it is essential to ensure that the latest version of the base game is installed on your Windows PC first. If you’re looking for other mods for these games, try the No Speed Limit mod or the Romanian Map Add-on. 

Same mod different game

TruckersMP is compatible with both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. While technically in the same sphere of gameplay, both games offer users distinct gameplay features and mechanics. In Euro Truck Simulator 2, for example,you aim to build and manage a multimillion-dollar logistics company. 

However, in American Truck Simulator, you take on jobs and make deliveries to earn money and eventually purchase your own truck.

Feature-rich

The TruckersMP mod offers several features that enhance the gameplay experience, such as a CB radio for communicating with other players, an in-game chat, a players list, and even a scout car. Additionally, there are events that you can participate in and enjoy with friends. This is one of the most compelling mods for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator in terms of the breadth of multiplayer options it provides. 

Drawbacks

As good as this mod is for both games, it has a rather significant issue. The games’ moderators and administrators may randomly remove players from the games without explanation, which can be very frustrating for fans of both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. 

Even though this issue is quite a large one, should it happen to you, the mod has many more redeeming qualities that may overshadow the possibility of being kicked from your games. 

Plenty of mod options out there

While TruckersMP is generally a good and enjoyable mod, the administrators’ and moderators’ tendencies to go on unjustified banning sprees make it advisable to maybe consider alternative mods for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. 

There are loads of these to be found, but we’d suggest trying out the other two mods we mentioned at the top of the article.
