Peggle Nights and Popcap Games
Peggle Nights was developed by PopCap Games, a division of Popcap Games, LLC, which is a publisher of a wide variety of online and offline games. The main character of Peggle Nights is the famous ballerina known as Lady Gaga. As you can probably guess from her name, she is very good at dancing and she moves around quite a bit. Her moves, while they look complicated, are actually very simple and are the core of the game. In the beginning of the game you can see her dancing around to some of the hit songs from the 80's and early 90's, and you get the point.
The story of Peggle Nights follows the "dream aspect" concept that PopCap is known for. You basically have a chance to act out your dreams inside the game. It is up to you to make choices, and make those decisions wisely because if you make a choice based on emotion, you will not be able to do anything in the real world outside of the game. As a result, you must also use your head, and think about what your best emotion is when it comes to something. In this way, the game becomes a sort of therapy session for you, where you try to figure out what exactly makes you happy, and how to live your life the way you want to.
Peggle Nights takes this "treatment" a step further by allowing you to not only play the actual game, but also upload a video of your performance, and compete with other players from around the world. In the upper levels of peggle nights, you will find leader boards which display player statistics such as highest kills, most damage taken, and so on. At the bottom of the screen you will find a screen that reads something like, " Rankings are based on popularity! If you are popular enough, you will be granted access to the leaderboards." As you advance through the different levels of the game, the popcap will continually pop up, giving you more chances to earn credits, get new levels, and unlock new popcaps.
