You can add this new biometric authentication method to your Windows Hello setup screen by going to "Settings > User Accounts in Windows." Then select "authenticate with Windows Hello" and follow the prompts. If you have never used Windows Hello before you may need to enter your face picture or select a character from a nine-digit number using either your keyboard or a voice-recognition device. Your chosen character will appear on your PC display and Windows Hello will verify your identity through a series of algorithms. Once your user account is complete you will be asked if you want to activate Windows Hello by entering your Windows 10 device's password or entering a pin number.
Windows Hello is available for all Windows 10 Mobile devices including: Windows Phones, Windows tablets, Windows 7 Mobile, Windows 8.x Devices, and Windows Embedded Devices. Simply use your Windows Hello custom device for logging into any of your Windows 10 devices including: Office, Windows, and Windows Mobile. Windows Hello also provides a robust password system which stores more than one user to log in per device, per Windows Hello account, and offers a combined password strength of up to 200 passwords. These passwords are stored securely on the Windows Hello server and are maintained across all devices with a Windows Hello login. You can create your own custom device login or select the default user profile that comes pre-installed on new Windows Hello enabled devices.
