DiRT Rally is an adrenaline packed driving video game developed and released by Codemasters for Microsoft Windows first-party Windows port. The game is an open-world rally driving game in which the player takes command of one of several motors (usually four) participating in the rally. Each stage of the rally progresses differently with added challenges as the rally continues. The player must use all of his skills to outmaneuver competitors, avoid obstacles, boost his or her car's performance, and master the many courses available.
The game is played through Windows using the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. The game was not developed for any other platform, but it has been given an early access code by Codemasters, allowing those who own the game to have first-look at the game. An itch page for the Windows version of Dirt Rally has also been created, but this program requires a user to have a Vista computer in order to run it. A Steam Early Access release of the same game was made available on 27 April for those who pre-ordered the game, and a physical version of the same game was also released on 7 December.
The game is being developed by Codemasters and released under the codename Rally Racing by Microsoft. There are no current plans for a sequel, but we hope to see an update or a new version of Dirt Rally within the next year or so. If you like the idea of racing games that are not based on real life racing events, then this is the kind of video game that you can get addicted to. It has great physics and tracks that allow your vehicle to climb hills, turn corners, and go through bends in a realistic way. It has not yet reached the top of the charts in popularity, but is still a very promising future.
