Compose Music Video Editor is a free Android video editing app. It allows users to create transitions between several videos with music synchronisation. It uses templates you can apply and customise to fit your videos and music without requiring video editing knowledge.
If you enjoy editing your videos creatively, you can also give VivaVideo, Triller - Music Video Maker or Velomingo a shot to create unique videos. These alternatives have similar functions but a few differences in their effects.
Getting started
Compose tries to make video editing as inviting as possible for novices. Upon creating a new project, the app will ask you to choose a video format so your video fits perfectly on TikTok, Instagram or Youtube. Then you can select one or several videos and photos on your device. Compose claims that at least eight media files will create the best results. You can then add the music you have on your phone and trim it to match the video.
Transitions library
After selecting your media files, the app will display a timeline you can click on to trim or stretch them. Below this timeline, you’ll find transitions to add to the videos to make them more dynamic. You can use intros, outros, spinning, 3D, glitch, or splitting transitions with hundreds of templates. The transitions and effects are applied automatically to your videos, and you can even add editable text to them.
Free & Pro mode
Compose is free to download and free to use; however, some templates and features are only available if you become a Pro member. You can try Pro mode for three days and then pay a weekly or yearly membership to remove ads and export at the highest quality.
You can export files at 30 fps for free, 50 fps by watching an ad, and 60 fps as a Pro member. 1080p exports are accessible after an ad, and 4K is for Pro members only.
