Free compatibility checker
Wise Cleaner developed by Checkit, is a tool to check to see if your Windows 10 computer meets the basic requirements to upgrade to Windows 11. It's a free and safe tool available in English, Chinese, Russian, Japanese and German. Download the portable and lightweight utility for your Windows 10 PC.
Its primary function is the same as PC Health Check, but adds essential extra features. This software looks at your CPU, memory, UEFI, storage and TPM2.0. Similar software includes Ashampoo Windows 11 Compatibility Check and WinPass11.
Checkit vs. Health Check vs. open-source
PC Health Check is the official tool from Microsoft. It scans your PC to see if it meets the basic requirements to upgrade to Windows 11. The disadvantage is that it gives only a generic message: ‘This PC doesn’t meet the system requirements to run Windows 11’. Now you know your upgrade will fail, but you also don’t know what to fix as there’s no explanation.
Many open-source projects can also check if your PC meets the upgrade requirements. The advantage is that it’s free, but it may carry security risks since any developer can contribute to the code.
Whereas Checkit will scan your CPU, memory, UEFI, storage, secure boot, TPM 2.0 and more, and tell you if your system meets the basic requirements. But it will also tell you exactly where your hardware falls short so that you can fix it or find a workaround. The main reason why most computers fail is that they don’t have secure boot and TPMP 2.0.
Checkit or WinPass 11
You can use WinPass 11 as a companion to Checkit. First, use Checkit to see if your PC will be able to run Windows 11. If not, run WinPass 11, which will apply the necessary fixes and workarounds to enable you to upgrade, even if your system doesn’t meet the requirements.
