Wifi Widget - A Handy Tool for Wi-Fi Network Information
Wifi Widget is a useful widget application for Android that provides detailed information about the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. Developed by Florian Fetz, this widget displays essential details such as the network's channel, signal strength, IP addresses (internal and external), MAC address (BSSID), and even the vendor or manufacturer of the access point (requires an internet connection for MAC OUI lookup). It also offers support for dual-band devices, allowing you to view information for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.
Please note that Wifi Widget is a widget application and needs to be added to your widgets menu; it won't appear in your app menu. Once added, it becomes a convenient tool to ensure you are connected to a specific access point.
This widget has two modes: one that displays the information in a large font and another that shows extended data in a smaller font. Simply tap on the widget to switch between the two modes when your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Wifi Widget is available for free on the Google Play Store. If you find this app helpful, you can support the developer by purchasing the paid version of the app. It's important to note that this application does not drain your device's battery as it only utilizes system events, which is why the signal level indicator updates periodically.
