Defenders: TD Origins is a free-to-play mobile tower defense game that combines traditional tower defense mechanics with card game elements. You must build and protect a network of towers from oncoming monsters. A simple card system provides not only tower upgrades but magic spells that will help you keep the encroaching hordes at bay.
If you've played other tower defense games, you'll be familiar with the basic concepts of Defenders: TD Origins. The control scheme is simple and easy to understand, and there are a few wrinkles on the traditional mode of play that keep it interesting. The card system adds another level of complexity that forces you to manage not only your placement but also your hand of cards. There are a wide range of different tower and card types, plus dozens of different monsters to battle. Many levels also have anomalies, special locations which will grant certain abilities or bonuses to towers built on them. The 3D graphics are colorful and evocative. Like many free-to-play games, this one relies on in-app purchases, which can be a little intrusive at times.
