How to Create a Photo Collage with Microsoft Photo Editor

Windows Picture Packages is an extremely popular feature of Microsoft Excel. Windows Picture Packages allows users to create and save custom images in a form of a Microsoft Office document. The advantage of using Windows Picture Packages is that, like other Microsoft Office applications this feature provides preview options of the image before it is printed. The disadvantage of using Windows Picture Packages is that there are limited options for users as the output format depends on the software used and the quality of the output.

To use Microsoft Photo Packages you need to open an Office application on the computer you want to use as a publishing application. If your currently running on Windows XP you can install the 32 bit and 64 bit CS5 plug-in to Windows XP. If you install the CS5 plug-in on Windows XP you need to copy the layout folder from your photo collage program to the same location as the plug-in. Open a new Word document or PowerPoint presentation and select the "Picture Package" icon located at the far left of the screen.

Now you will be able to access your Windows Picture Packages. Select "manage folders" and "add folder with name". Enter the name for the new folder and hit "ok". You can then choose any of the four available formats: JPEG, BMP, GIF, and PNG. Once you have saved the file you can now convert your pictures with Microsoft Photo Editor.
