Derive is graphing calculator/computer software that was written in assembler and made for the Apple Macintosh computer. It is used to calculate the Fibonacci numbers, Determine the tangent of a certain angle or the root of a number, Determine the square root of a number, and many more. It was one of the first spreadsheet application available on the market for the personal computer. Derive has a Graphical User Interface similar to other spreadsheet software available on the market. This GUI (Graphic User Interface) makes it possible for the user to manipulate the data much easier than with the regular spreadsheet programs.
Derive has some of the capabilities similar to some of the commercial calculus and algebra programs available on the market today, such as Stano, Tanahara, Zeneca, and others. It also includes some of the features of a visual Basic for applications (VBA) such as Auto reminders, panes, frames, multiple cursors, conditional expression support, and more. Derive-Europa is a graphical user interface program that uses windows based controls. It also has a graphical Symbolical Algebra program, which allows you to solve problems of higher degree using symbolic algebra language. Derive can calculate real functions like c, d, e, and f for Integrals, product, and sub-products of real and complex numeric variables. It also works well in finite and real domains.
In Derive-Europa, you can import files from files that are in other file formats and create Derive graphs from these files. You can use the plotting function to draw Derive plots in different shapes and customize them using color, text, and points. You can even save plots in files. Derive-Europa uses a fast database retrieval system for calculating the roots and derivatives. It can also handle complex matrix multiply and division by integral functions.
