Wise Memory Optimizer is a smart little tool that can help you to free up the physical memory taken up by some apps to enhance your PC performance. Instead of constantly hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del to close unresponsive apps, you can simply use a one click solution such as Wise Memory Optimizer. The app has been designed to optimize your computer's memory as needed. The app’s interface is simple and well organized. It consists of a singular window that graphs your system's memory on a split pie chart, to show you how much of your system’s memory you are actually using and how much free memory you have. In order to optimize your memory, simply click on the large green button, and voila! The system can also be configured to start when it reaches a predetermined, acceptable level. Overall, Wise Memory Optimizer is not a bad tool. It is lightweight and consumes hardly any system resources. However, it does lack in diagnostic features and system analytical tools.

Memory Booster

Memory Booster, from Rizonsoft, is a differnt take on the standard memry boosting app. It does not force any memory out of your RAM as most other RAM optimizers do, but it works differently, making a safe Windows API call, which tells Windows to clean up the workspace of all processes, thereby freeing up memory processes no longer needs (Clear Processes Working Set). The app helps improve the speed and the stability of your system, by periodically cleaning up processes. Although this method does not free up a large amount of RAM, instead, it improves the stability and performance of your computer. A nice feature of Memory Booster is that it scans processes that are trying to obtain large amounts of processing power. When it locates them it will set the priority from above normal, back to normal. This, in turn, frees up some needed processing power. Overall, Memory Booster is ok, for a freeware app that doesn't claim to free up masses of RAM, rather improve stability and performance. It is lightweight, and easy to navigate by users of all levels of expertise.
