Synapse DUNE 2 VST,  a virtual synthesizer and complete rewrite of the original DUNE VST. This upgraded version introduces advanced features and refined audio processing. While it can run alongside DUNE 1, it is not backwards compatible. The redesign reflects Synapse’s goal to deliver greater sound quality and flexibility.

Synapse DUNE 2 VST includes key improvements such as redesigned filters, oscillators, graphical envelopes, and effects. It offers increased polyphony and oscillator count for richer sound design. Filters feature zero-delay feedback, providing cleaner response, while dual-stack oscillators enhance depth. Graphical envelopes allow detailed control, enabling precise modulation for creative and professional music production.

DUNE 2 includes 8x unison, allowing for up to 520 oscillators per note. The maximum polyphony is 16 voices, resulting in a potential 8,320 oscillators. Synthesis types include VA, Wavetable, and FM. Two oscillator stacks, each with 32 oscillators, are provided, alongside a third oscillator and a noise generator. Three low-frequency oscillators (LFOs) and four graphical envelopes (MSEG) are available for modulation.
