Stream Recorder .NET allows you to record online streams directly to your computer and listen to them later. Stream Recorder .NET has been designed as a simple graphical user interface tool, rather than using command line interface, to record media streams with VLC or MPlayer. The application has a few noteworthy features, such as the ability to record live streams or schedule recordings of internet radio shows for later.
Stream Recorder .NET is only suitable for streams which are channeled through a media player such as VLC or MPlayer. Once you have undertaken the initial setup, Stream Recorder .NET can be configured in the main application interface; simply enter the stream url. Here you can define the duration of the recording, specify the output format and directory, and configure the recorder.
Key features include:
- Full Command Line Interface (CLI) for scheduling and automation.
- Automatically create Windows tasks for scheduled recordings.
- Time stamps file names to avoid overwrites.
Overall, Stream Recorder .NET allows you to record via MPlayer or VLC, you can also schedule recordings for internet radio. The downside is that doesn't work for recording YouTube.
*Note that Stream Recorder.NET requires .NET 3.5 SP1 to function.
