A Sokoban++ Review
Sokoban++ are a well-known classic puzzle game which most individuals will have played at least once. Sokoban has a series of fifty levels total, for you to conquer. If you beat one level you move on to the next until you run out of energy. The game is entirely based on solving problems in order to get to the goal without crossing any obstacles or rooms of different colors.
Joris Wit offers an option to choose from three different control methods: touch screen, joysticks or mouse. He also added four different game skins that change the colors of your game board, making it more interesting and unique. The game also features five power ups that increase your score. There are also special power ups that transform your robot into something else, like a bulldozer or a tank. The power ups are very fun and give the game a much more realistic feel, much like a game you might find in a science fiction book or movie.
I haven't been a big fan of strategy games as of late, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I tried Sokoban++ but it turned out to be a very enjoyable puzzle game. Joris Wit definitely knows his stuff when it comes to making a puzzle game look and play amazing. There are tons of hidden items, enemies, power ups, levels, and all of the other things you would expect in a great puzzle game. It really looks like the kind of game you would play with your children instead of alone. Although it doesn't quite reach the high level of achievement that A Virus Named Tom developed, I still think the game is completely worth playing, especially if you like puzzles and game concepts.
