Installing and Using PDF Blender on a Linux Machine

PDF Blender, an award winning tool for creating, editing and converting PDF files, can be used with Windows or Linux operating systems. A PDF file is a document in PDF format that may include one or more PDF pages. The pages may have hyperlinks, subtitles, metadata and are stored on servers. Microsoft has developed a component called the Windows Imaging Component (WIC), which works with Windows computers. This WIC allows you to read, write, control, view and save PDF files. You need a high quality PDF printer such as the PDF printer from Adobe Systems, Incorporated, to create PDF files.

To use Windows-based PDF tools, download and install the Windows Operating System, including Internet Explorer and the Windows Service Provider. Download and install a PDF writer like the freeware called Adobe Acrobat Reader that comes with Windows and then launch the reader, which should prompt you to insert the appropriate drive letter for storing PDF files. If you have a good version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, you can simply select the "open" option from the menu of the program, which will then allow you to start PDF Blender.

Once opened, you will be prompted to choose a destination. By default, Windows users will select "My Computer". If you want to create a PDF file on a Linux machine, launch the same PDF writer like in Windows so that you can also choose your Linux machine. Launch the PDF Blender application by clicking on the "start" button on the browser you are in, then follow the on-screen prompts to install, configure and activate the application. Save any changes that you want to the files you have created with the "save to" option and then exit the application.
