Magic Ball is a fun, multiplayer video game for Windows devices. In this game, you use a ball to destroy multi-coloured blocks. Your main goal is to destroy blocks to be able to advance to the next stage. You need to break at least 95% of all the blocks in order to progress. The more blocks you destroy, the higher your score will be though. So, try and destroy all of them to get the highest score possible.
How do you play?
You control a sliding bar, moving it left and right so that the ball can bounce off it, launching it upwards to destroy the bricks. However, hits are not guaranteed, as the ball can rebound. If you fail to catch it when it comes down, it is all over for you.
You will find hidden gems like the rocket launcher in some of the blocks, enabling you to blast more blocks faster. Be wary though as can also encounter enemies like Jack, the Bat Killer, who can cause you to lose a life.
Each brick you destroy equals one bonus point, and the game saves your score for you. Once you have broken enough bricks, a yellow capsule will appear. You can either destroy this capsule to move on to the next level or ignore it to stay put. The higher levels will give you more blocks to break, but you will also encounter more power-ups to assist you, as well as power-downs that can destroy you.
Casual and fun time killer
3D effects and immersive sound effects make for an enjoyable experience in Magic Ball. You are also confronted with additional challenges when moving to a new level. It is perfect if you have some time to kill, but it can become tedious if played for too long. It would have been nice if there was a reward system.
Break all blocks
Magic Ball is a nice and simple diversion that can keep you entertained while waiting at the doctor or in line at the grocery store. This game lets you use a ball to demolish a wall of blocks to advance a level, boosted by power-ups while placing enough obstacles in your way to pose a challenge. If you're looking for similar titles, you can try Super DX-Ball, Arkanoid, and Rival Ball as well.
