German Truck Simulator is an online truck simulator video game developed and released by the Czech company SCS Software. It was initially announced as being in pre-production back in September 2021 and then released at the yearly E3 event in June. It has been available to play on both Windows and Linux, and was finally released for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS earlier this month.
Like many truck games of this genre, German Truck Simulator features a physics engine that realistically simulates the movement of fully-outfitted German trucks on the road. The player is able to choose between different truck classes such as Boxster, Coupe, Econoline, Haifaul, 3 ton pickups, and Wagon. Each class of vehicle has its own set of standard rules to follow, as well as special rules unique to that particular truck. All of these add complexity and make the game more fun to play.
In addition to following the actual driving process, the player can use the truck simulator to become a professional truck driver. There are various challenges in the game to increase your skills as a truck driver. You can improve your handling skills by following the on-screen instructions and improving your passing rate by upgrading the truck in the game. As you progress through the game, you will earn credits that you can use to buy upgrades for your truck, such as getting stronger tires and engine.
